Special Event & Festival Security Across Canada.
From private receptions to 20,000-attendee municipal festivals — crowd management, access control, VIP protection, and licensed-venue coverage delivered by trained officers.
Great events feel effortless — that is only possible when the security program is planned meticulously and delivered by a disciplined, guest-friendly team. 1st Indigenous Security plans and staffs event security for everything from 100-guest private receptions to 20,000-attendee municipal festivals across every Canadian province.
Every engagement begins with a site walk and written security plan, includes coordination with your venue and municipal first responders, and produces a full incident-and-attendance report within 48 hours. Officers are hired for temperament as much as credentials — because the tone at the door defines the guest experience.
The challenges we solve
Crowd flow and pinch-point management
Doors, bag-check lines, bar queues and exits — pinch points are where events go bad. Right-sized staffing eliminates them.
Alcohol regulation compliance
Smart Serve (Ontario) and provincial equivalents are non-negotiable for licensed venues. Officers must hold current certification.
VIP and dignitary protection
Political candidates, celebrities and executive speakers require plainclothes coverage that stays invisible to the guest experience.
First-responder coordination
Large events require a documented interface with municipal police, EMS and the venue's own security team.
Access control & ticket verification
Wristbands, ticket scans, credential checks, guest-list-only doors — done consistently through the door count peak.
Post-event documentation
Insurers and venues expect an incident-and-attendance report. It has to be professional, timely, and complete.

Questions our clients ask
How much does event security cost in Canada?
Event security is quoted per event and depends on attendee count, licensed/unlicensed venue, hours, and required certifications. Private 100-guest receptions typically run $600–$1,200; 5,000-attendee festival days run $4,000–$12,000+ depending on staffing model. Fixed-price bundles for multi-day festivals available on request.
How far in advance should we book event security?
Ideally 60–90 days for large events. Smaller private events (under 200 guests) can usually be booked with 2–3 weeks notice. Emergency same-week bookings are possible on a best-efforts basis in most Canadian cities.
Do you handle Smart Serve licensed events?
Yes. Officers assigned to Ontario licensed events hold current Smart Serve. Equivalent certifications supplied in other provinces.
Can you liaise with municipal police for large events?
Yes. For large or public events we coordinate directly with municipal police special-events units on your behalf.
Do you supply plainclothes and undercover officers?
Yes, when the risk profile justifies it. Plainclothes support is common for VIP receptions, political events, and celebrity engagements.
Can you provide EMS or first-aid support?
All officers hold First Aid / CPR-C. For larger events we can arrange dedicated EMS through our partner network.
How do you manage the guest experience?
Officers are briefed on tone: firm boundaries, welcoming demeanour. The uniform is visible without being aggressive. Complaints are logged and reviewed by the event supervisor.
Do you provide a written event report?
Yes. A written incident-and-attendance report is delivered within 48 hours, with lessons-learned recommendations for future events.
