Residential & Community Security Services Across Canada.
Concierge, mobile patrol, and access-control programs for condominium towers, gated communities, purpose-built rentals, and private estates — with the discretion residential settings demand.
In a residential setting the officer at the desk is functionally a member of the community. 1st Indigenous Security trains residential officers for the specific pressures of the setting: courteous visitor management, moving-day coordination, amenity-space oversight, and the discretion required to live in close quarters with hundreds of residents.
We support single-tower condominiums, multi-tower developments, gated communities, purpose-built rentals, and private estates with static-post and mobile-patrol programs. Transparent monthly reporting is routed to the property manager or condominium board — and residents are given a professional face they can trust.
The challenges we solve
Visitor & guest management
Deliveries, guests, service providers, and short-term rentals require documented but frictionless intake — every day, every shift.
Amenity-space oversight
Pool decks, gyms, party rooms and rooftop terraces each require distinct oversight rules the residents actually see enforced.
Move-day and freight coordination
Elevator bookings, dolly custody, building-protection standards — small process failures upset the board within a week.
Trespass, encampment and vagrancy
Downtown residential properties face the reality of homelessness and encampment pressure — with compassionate but firm response required.
Resident privacy vs. security balance
Cameras, key-fob logs, and visitor records are useful — but must be handled with the residential privacy standard the board expects.
Board-facing reporting
Monthly reports to the property manager or board must be professional, timely, and understandable to non-security readers.

Questions our clients ask
What is residential security and what does it typically cover?
Residential security is the integrated program supporting condominium towers, gated communities, rental properties and private estates — including concierge, access control, amenity oversight, mobile patrol, alarm response, and resident-facing communication. Modern programs balance visible presence with the discretion residents expect.
Do you replace our current concierge?
Sometimes. Some clients keep concierge separate from security; others prefer a blended concierge-security role. We can staff either model.
Can we interview officers before assignment?
Yes — this is standard practice for condominium boards and property managers. Shortlists are typically presented before deployment.
Do you support building-transition periods?
Yes. Turnover from developer to condo corporation is a common time to bring us in — including inventory-handover and access-control reset.
Can you handle parcel intake for residents?
Yes. Parcel-handling SOPs are standard and can be tailored to your building's rules — including hold periods, notification, and after-hours pickup.
How do you handle encampment and vagrancy?
Under a documented compassionate-response SOP that de-escalates first and coordinates with municipal outreach where possible. Escalation to police occurs only when necessary.
How much does residential security cost in Canada?
Residential security is priced hourly for static posts (typically $28–$40 per hour) and per-patrol for mobile coverage. Multi-tower or REIT-portfolio contracts are quoted at blended rates.
Do you provide security for private estates?
Yes. Private estate coverage typically combines gate control, perimeter patrol, and — where warranted — close-protection integration with our executive-protection team.
